Accounting Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated individual in Carrollton to join our renovations team The successful candidate will have exceptional accounting experience in operational general ledger accounting and reporting in both a hands-on and leadership capacity.

Experience in the construction industry is a definite advantage as we are looking for a candidate that is familiar with percentage of completion accounting.

The successful candidate will also have a proven track record of identifying and driving process improvement, being system oriented is a must.

This position reports to the Director of Finance - Renovations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the construction accounting division; including accurate and timely processing of A/P, A/R, and Cost Accounting.
Provide strong leadership, direction and mentorship to a team of 5-10.
Establish strong processes and reporting around the construction accounting including the monthly WIP process. (percentage of completion accounting)
Manage and lead an accurate and timely monthly close within the corporate deadlines.
Provide detailed explanations for variances in monthly and quarterly numbers.
Become a subject matter expert in everything that is renovations accounting.
Review and approve certain local account reconciliations and journal entries in accordance with company policies.
Identify and drive process improvements with in corporate and globally throughout the organization.
Establish strong partnership with key stakeholders throughout the KATERRA organization.
Provide timely support and guidance to all ad hoc requests including audit and tax.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in accounting or business required.
CPA, CA, CIMA, ACCA or international equivalent is preferred
Experience of working in the construction Industry will be a significant advantage
Extensive experience identification and driving system and process improvements
Sound knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and experience in ensuring compliance with US GAAP
Solid leadership skills required and ability to interface and collaborate with senior executive management
Ability to work well and negotiate a team environment is a must
Ability to work in a global environment and support internal customers geographically dispersed
Advanced Microsoft Excel, knowledge and PowerPoint skills
Experience working in an ERP environment. Sage preferred
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to think creatively, highly driven, flexible and self-motivated
Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
