Description
Vaco are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Director to lead a great payroll team. The Payroll Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
Key Responsibilities:* Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, calculations, and distribution of paychecks or electronic transfers.
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and contractors.
* Oversee payroll tax compliance and filings, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
* Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
* Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify payroll discrepancies or errors.
* Stay updated on relevant tax and labor laws to ensure compliance in all payroll activities.
* Prepare payroll reports and analyses for management review.
* Lead, train, and mentor payroll team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Requirements:
* years of experience in payroll management or a related role.
* Thorough understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and tax codes.
* Proficient in using payroll software and related tools (e.g., ADP, Workday, etc.).
