Performance Plus Physical Therapy is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator for our outpatient physical therapy clinic in Chula Vista, California.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth flow of patients from check-in to check-out.
Ensure proper greeting and welcoming of patients to our clinic.
Responsible for collecting complete patient information and inputs it into the EMR system.
Ensure prompt answering of telephones with mínimal hold times.
Answers phone inquiries from patients/ potential patients with courtesy and promptness.
Works cooperatively with other team members to promote the goals of the organization as a whole.
Ensure appropriate scheduling of patients following office policies.
Works with Clinic Operations Manager on continuous improvement of customer service and operational efficiency.
Responsible for pulling and distribution of faxes.
Responsible for sorting mail and distributing.
Assist the Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Aides as needed.
Accept projects and other assignments as directed by Clinic Operations Manager.


Preferred Skills/Experience:
Bilingual in Spanish and English is a requirement for this position.
One year of related experience in a medical office.
Basic computer knowledge with Outlook, Excel and Word.
Experience with EMR Systems.
Understanding of the operations of a medical office.
Experience and confidence with sales.
Understanding of all functions and features of phone system.
Knowledge of insurance company's referral requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records.
Ability to work with clinical staff and multiple providers.
Ability to relate to the public regardless of racial, ethnic and economic status.
Ability to work with high volume in stressful/busy environment.


Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour

Experience:

Medical Terminology: 1 year (preferred)
