The ClaimCenter team is searching for an experienced Senior Business Analyst. Claims IT is responsible for supporting and enhancing the ClaimCenter application used by various Great American Business Units.

ResponsibilitiesA senior analyst with proven experience building enterprise systems and collaborating with multiple teamsDevelops enterprise solutions for business customersDesigns, tests, debugs, maintains, and documents software systems components and utilitiesCollaborates with other departments on requirements, design, standards, and architecture of applicationsParticipates in gathering and documenting business requirements and technical design documentsAdheres to standards for software development with emphasis on test-driven development and quality of softwareDevelops time estimates for project deliverablesOwnership of project timeline and deliverablesCoaching / mentoring junior-level team members on best practices for application development and business analyticsPromotes Agile Scrum development methodologyQualifications 8-10 years' experience with collecting requirements and creating business and systems requirements documents (BRD, SRD)5+ years of SQL experience with the ability to efficiently create complex database queriesExperience interpreting and understanding the business processes captured in process diagrams and lean assessments.

Strong business and technical writing skillsExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsExperience with application testing and coordinating test strategies with IT Quality Assurance teamsExperience Policy/Claims Process Automation project executionAgile Scrum development methodology experienceAbility to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organizationDemonstrated ability to establish priorities, organize, and plan work to satisfy established timeframesProven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyAnalytical skills, problem-solving, and attention to detailExperience with webservice testing tools (SoapUI, Postman)

Experience mentoring other team members to develop skillsPrior experience with insurance programs and/or claims handling is a plusPlus:
development experience in Guidewire products like ClaimCenter, BillingCenter
