- Maintenance Management: Oversee and coordinate the routine maintenance, repair, and servicing of marine vessels and port equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Technical Assistance: Provide technical support for engineering projects and operational challenges. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or engineering issues affecting port operations.
- Project Support: Assist in the planning and execution of engineering projects, including equipment upgrades and installations, ensuring projects meet timelines, budget constraints, and specifications.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all engineering operations adhere to local, national, and international regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all engineering operations, including repairs, maintenance schedules, and safety inspections.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and external contractors to coordinate engineering activities and projects. Serve as a technical liaison to communicate essential engineering information.
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in marine or port engineering.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and marine operations.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and environmental standards in a maritime context.
- Project management experience or certifications.
