    Description

    I am looking for a Field Service Technician with experience in the Ports & Maritime industry. Ideally, this is someone from a mechanic, maintenance, field service background who wants to transition into a sales, front-facing role.

    The company is a cleantech business that delivers electrification and automation products and services within different industries. They are an international engineering business with a base in Europe, established groups around the world as well as manufacturing plants to service their clients in different regions.

    They are looking for a Service Sales Engineer to put further "boots on the ground" in the East Coast of the US. The company has an office and a team, however they want to bridge the gap between inside sales and the services division within the ports and maritime industry, so this person will be passionate about client-facing and opening new and well-known doors that will turn into accounts to be managed by this position.

    The team will provide training in sales, contract negotiation, and bidding to fully support the development of this candidate into a sales and client-facing role, building on the previous experience.

    The role reports directly into the Sales Director for the Americas and will travel about 40-50% of the time.

    This can be a remote job is the candidate is not based close to the office.

    Qualifications:

    • 3-10 years of experience
    • BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a mechanical background ideally
    • Good understand of engineering practices
    • Comfortable negotiating sales contracts and tenders
    • Good management and interpersonal skills
    • Ports & Maritime industry experience
    • Experience with equipment such as cranes would be great

    The role includes a base salary appropriate for experience, annual bonus, and all standard benefits such as 401(k) and exceptional health coverage.
