    Summit Construction Management Group is currently seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to work on projects in the state of Florida, multiple locations.

    Summit Construction Management Group is a commercial development and construction company based in Central and North Florida. We have over 30 years experience designing & building high rise class-A self storage, educational facilities, and municipal projects. We are fast-paced, yet supportive, and our end goal is high quality construction within the strict timelines of our projects.

      Job Description

    With 5 years minimum experience as a lead project Superintendent, the ideal candidate will be able to fully understand the full scope of the project's plans, as well as initiate and follow through with each step in order to ensure that all deadlines are met. Previous experience as a Construction Superintendent on major commercial construction projects is required for this position, and knowledge of commercial construction codes is preferred. Preferred experience to include: education, industrial, storage, office space, hospital projects.
    In addition, the ideal candidate is responsible for:

    • Establishing a safe, accident free job site that runs on or ahead of schedule.
    • Assisting the project team in scheduling, developing, and implementing project plans and procedures, working documents and standards to ensure project goals are achieved
    • Feeling comfortable in a fast paced environment that is physically demanding
    • Interfacing with all on-site subcontractors as required, to resolve problems, ensure quality, safety, scheduling and achieving schedules in support of overall project objectives.
    • Use of Microsoft excel/word/projects, Blue Beam, Procore
    • Ability to travel within the state of Florida.

    Benefits - You will be eligible for company medical, dental and vision benefit programs effective on the first of the month after sixty (60) days of employment. Summit incurs most of the cost of medical, dental and vision coverage, with the employee's contribution being a minimal cost. In addition, employee life insurance of $20,000 is provided by the company at no cost to you. You will be eligible for our 401 (k) after one year of service. Supplemental insurance is available to the employee and family through Aflac.

    Paid Time Off - In addition to the company's eight (8) paid holidays, we are pleased to offer paid time off (PTO) in the amount of two (2) weeks to be used as needed with approval from your direct report. The time will begin annually on January 1 and expire on December 31 of each calendar year, accruing throughout the year. The time will not carry over into the following calendar year.
