- Purchase commodities and services to meet specialized or complex needs.
- Make purchase decisions in accordance with Company procedures and regulations.
- Analyze purchase requisitions and review for accuracy and completion.
- Follow proper channels to obtain purchase authorization according to company policy.
- Determine the correct method to process purchase requisitions depending on total cost, timeliness, competitive bidding, and existing contracts.
- Place orders to procure requisitioned items or services.
- Solve problems with orders in an efficient and timely manner.
- Manage a standard outstation stock list to ensure material readiness.
- Coordinate critical material support for expedient aircraft repairs.
- Foster effective open communication interdepartmentally and maintain an outflow of current information to assist in guiding successful company operations.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- 4 years' experience in aviation logistics / aviation purchasing.
- Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
- Must understand, read, and write English. Ability to understand, read, and write Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook inventory software, and tracking systems.
- Prior experience with Component Controls Quantum software preferred.
- Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniques.
- Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.
- Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Possess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
- Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
