    Job DescriptionDescriptionThe Manufacturing Technician will perform manual labor within a production line assembling industrial air compressor products, associated parts and accessories and packing products according to specifications.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Work as part of a production team to assemble industrial air compressor products and parts.
    • Follows specific work instructions, documentation, and training for the area.
    • Pick up, move, and sort small and large parts.
    • Uses mechanic tools, basic hand tools, pneumatic and pipe installation tools, and jigs to manipulate parts for assembly.
    • Sort and place material or items on tables, racks, or bins.
    • Assemble small and large parts manually per specifications.
    • Align mating parts, and perform rotational alignments, and pressure tests.
    • Install switches, panels, and lights; cut and make up conduit as directed.
    • Construct controllers and panels, using power drills, drill presses, taps, saws, and punches.
    • Remove extraneous material from molded parts.
    • Clean assembled parts and place them in protective bags or containers.
    • Help maintain an accurate inventory of goods.
    • Assumes responsibility for quality control, rejecting products outside specifications.
    • Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
    • Keeps workstation organized; properly storing parts, tools, test equipment, and documentation.
    • Keep the area clean and walkways clear.
    • Follow safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and company rules and regulations.
    • Participate in quality improvement efforts.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
    • Assist other team/team members as needed.


    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
    • Aptitude for mechanics. Experience using mechanic tools, basic hand tools, pipe installation tools, and equipment maintenance knowledge.
    • Prior experience working in the heavy industrial equipment manufacturing industry.
    • Knowledge of air compressors or other pneumatic mechanical equipment preferred.
    • Basic electrical knowledge preferred.
    • Good reading and math aptitude, analytical skills, and basic computer knowledge.
    • Good hand-eye coordination, excellent manual dexterity, ability to work with small, detailed objects.
    • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
    • Acute attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
    • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable; able to work independently within team-focused environment.
    • Strong understanding of how to create highly satisfied customer.
    • Ability to follow established policies and procedures with a safety-first attitude.
    • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Must be able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation (occasionally 50-75 lbs.); able to regularly bend, twist, and climb.
