    Qualifications:

    Master's degree in Nursing is required.

    Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Montana or able to attain licensure in Montana prior to the first day of work.

    5 years of experience in psychiatric or mental health settings.

    5-7 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in behavioral health settings.

    Other combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

    Position Title: Chief Nursing Officer

    Position Overview:

    As the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), you will lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and fostering a culture of excellence in nursing practice. Your role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality care, positive patient experiences, and professional development opportunities for our nursing staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Championing Nursing Excellence:

    Lead and coordinate nursing activities to ensure effective patient care delivery.

    Collaborate with senior management to establish goals and objectives for hospital services, promoting efficiency and safety.

    Develop and implement policies and procedures to guide nursing practice, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

    Provide strategic direction by aligning nursing priorities with organizational goals.

    2. Departmental Management:

    Set measurable goals and objectives to enhance departmental performance and patient outcomes.

    Conduct audits and maintain standards of documentation, cleanliness, and safety.

    Establish staffing levels based on patient acuity and maintain quality assurance measures.

    Ensure adherence to environmental and infection control standards.

    3. Supervision and Workforce Development:

    Provide support and supervision to nursing staff, fostering a culture of professionalism and excellence.

    Conduct performance appraisals, facilitate staff development programs, and manage workload distribution.

    Communicate effectively with nursing and medical staff, addressing emerging trends and issues.

    Participate in credentialing and evaluation processes for advanced practice Registered Nurses.

    4. Additional Responsibilities:

    Actively engage in hospital leadership activities and support the Hospital Administrator/Chief Operations Officer.

    Represent the senior leadership group externally on nursing-related matters in psychiatric settings.

    Contribute to executive-level projects and tasks as required.

    Qualifications:

    Special Requirements:

    Fingerprint and background checks.

    Valid driver's license.
