Job Description SummaryThe Design Engineer is responsible for identifying, scoping/validating and execution of engineering activities to enable cost out opportunities. The execution of these projects have significant impact to customer and business financial goals both in the short-term and long-term.
In this role, the design engineer will be responsible for the execution of design changes on cost out projects. The individual will apply engineering concepts to design and manufacturing issues. The engineer will collaborate with cross functional engineering teams to substantiate and document changes as well as project management teams to prioritize cost projects for largest business impact. The design engineer will engage with colleagues and partners in manufacturing sites to refine engineering solutions.
