We are seeking summer interns to join our high-caliber Corporate Affairs organization. Ideal candidates are passionate about sustainability and experience or interest in community relations philanthropy government relations and/or public policy Successful candidates have strong interpersonal communication skills enjoy working in dynamic teams and can manage multiple priorities You are comfortable tackling complex projects with many moving parts as well as executing routine tasks with precision Interns must be responsible reliable detail-oriented collaborative can-do attitude an interest in forestry or the forest products industry is a plus The Corporate Affairs organization supports all three of our business lines Timberlands Wood Products Strategic Land Solutions we implement the companywide sustainability strategy communicate performanceto internal external stakeholders oversee Giving Fund other philanthropic programs participate public policy environmental compliance health safety programs These are three-month full-time internships based Seattle WA headquarters Start end dates internship duration may be flexible accommodate academic schedules The intern will report Senior Sustainability Program Manager depending project focus will work closely leaders team members across Corporate Affairs organization Responsibilities Conduct research support philanthropic programs help identify key partners Support collection communication sustainability performance data Develop supporting plans strategic engagement external associations partners Assist sustainability political giving disclosure requirements including ESG questionnaires ratings Support systems environmental health safety sustainability performance management Research analyze legislative regulatory policy monitor developments prepare briefings Provide research analytical support environmental health safety sustainabilty topics Support range internal external communications Contribute projects needed support organization business priorities Qualifications Pursuing bachelor degree rising junior higher master degree recently graduated in related field Excellent written verbal communication skills strong organizational skills attention detail Strong interpersonal ability work independently collaboratively High level initiative motivation integrity particularly confidential information Proficiency Microsoft Office tools Word PowerPoint Excel Power BI Eligible work U.S. must pass pre-employment drug screen background check Resume cover letter required Compensation Our targeted pay range for this role is $23 - $33 per hour determined by school year completed prior starting assignment About Weyerhaeuser We sustainably manage forests manufacture products make world better place serious about safety driven achieve excellence proud what do With multiple business lines locations across North America offer exciting career opportunities smart talented people passionate making difference We know you have choice career want choose us Weyerhaeuser equal opportunity employer Inclusion one five core values strive maintain culture where all people feel sense belonging opportunity shared purpose committed recruiting diverse workforce supporting equitable inclusive environment inspires people backgrounds join stay thrive team
