    Description

    Job Title: Sub Assembly Technician III – C Shift

    Compensation: $46.62 per hour

    Location: Onsite – Merritt Island, FL

    Schedule: Friday to Sunday, 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM (C Shift).

    Technical Skills Needed:

    1. Assembly experience in the aerospace or avionics industry, focusing on mechanical structures and fluid components.
    2. Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification or related experience.
    3. Minimum of 8 years of overall experience in relevant fields.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assembly of various structural, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanically actuated components.
    • Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic proof/leak testing.
    • Ensure assembly of components adheres to aerospace standards.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to review design concepts, provide assembly feedback, and support development tests.
    • Follow detailed work instructions for assembly tasks meticulously.
    • Plan and communicate steps for complex mechanical installations.
    • Handle hazardous systems, including those containing chemicals and/or under high pressure, safely.
    • Work effectively in a team setting with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.

    Qualifications:

    • Extensive experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or related fields.
    • Skilled in working with various valve types including solenoid, poppet, check, or ball valves.
    • Knowledge of sealing interfaces in systems using cryogenic substances like Oxygen, Hydrogen, or Helium is preferred.
    • Proficiency in fluid system operations including fill, bleed, assembly, and purge processes.
    • Experience in precision assembly using tools like LN2, vacuum ovens, and other expansion agents.
    • Familiarity with safety-critical systems and adherence to safety protocols.
    • Ability to operate a wide range of precision-calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, and optical measuring instruments.
    • Demonstrated ability to work with standard mechanical tools and fabrication equipment.
    • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational capabilities.
    • Committed to maintaining a professional relationship and fostering a culture of inclusion.

    Work Authorization Requirements:

    • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
