    Description

    Integration and Assembly Technician III - A Shift

    Do you have an interest in manufacturing, assembling, and Integration of components for rockets? This is a great opportunity for those with former Military aircraft assembly and repair, commercial aviation assembly and repair and those with existing Aerospace experience.

    You will Setup new production work areas, including tooling and equipment and

    Assist with the transition from development to production, including first articles.

    Perform second-party verifications and hardware inspections to engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.

    Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance.

    Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.

    Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment, truck-trailer combinations, and other ground support equipment as required.

    Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, height gauges, and optical measuring instruments.

    Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD.

    Ability to work off-shift, extended overtime, and weekends if/when vital.

    Qualifications:

    2-6+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field.

    Experience in at least one of the following is required: fluids and tubing install, instrumentation and electrical harness routing, general Aerospace/Launch vehicle assembly.

    Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures.

    Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

    Desired:

    Industry certification, trade school training, and/or degree in related field.

    Proven success as a "hands-on" technical leader.

    Work optimally with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.

    Experience in handling large aerospace components.

    Experience in assembling large tight tolerance structures.

    Experience in new product introduction.

    Experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment.

    Military experience.
