Description

Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Electronic Design Automation Support Specialist. As part of the team, you will assist our engineering team with electronic design automation tasks and provide IT support to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tasks:

Assist engineers in utilizing EDA software tools for schematic capture, simulation, and layout design in a Linux environment.
Support the development and enhancement of electronic designs using tools like Cadence Orcad, Allegro, Virtuoso, Ansys Tools, Synopsys simulation, and synthesis tools.
Help resolve design issues, offering timely solutions and recommendations.
Collaborate with the engineering team to enhance EDA workflows and efficiency, including proficiency in Linux scripting and automation.
Manage and oversee License servers from EDA Vendors.

Documentation and Training:

Create and update documentation for EDA workflows, IT procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Lead training sessions to educate employees on the best practices of EDA tools and IT systems.

Qualifications:

Experience with electronic design automation tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Design Compiler, or similar tools.
Proficient in programming languages commonly used in EDA, such as Verilog, VHDL, or Tcl.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Experience with Windows, Linux operating systems, and office productivity software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team.
