About the Role
We are looking for a filing clerk to assist our office in organizing and maintaining our filing systems. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring that documents are accurately filed and easily accessible. This position will be based in our Midtown Manhattan office.
You Will:
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems.
- Sort, label, and file documents accurately and efficiently.
- Retrieve files upon request and ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Collaborate with team members to support administrative tasks as needed.
- File legal documents at the various courts (will require travel to the various courts).
- Responsible for receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail.
- Help greet clients in the office and situate them in conference rooms or offices.
You Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework is a plus.
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as scanners, copiers, and printers.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Salary Range:
$16-$18 per hour
Pay:
$ $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to Relocate:
- New York, NY 10018: Relocate before starting work (required)
