The faculty of the Department of Statistics at the University of South Carolina in Columbia is looking for a Senior Instructor to join their team. This professional-track position is full-time and starts on January 1, 2024.
Responsibilities include teaching 8 courses per academic year on a 9-month appointment basis. Continuation of the role is subject to Dean's approval, performance, departmental requirements, and funding availability.
The Department comprises twelve tenured/tenure-track faculty and eight full-time instructors, serving approximately 35 full-time graduate students. They offer PhD, MS, and BS degrees.
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a master's degree in statistics or related field
- Five years of full-time university teaching experience or equivalent
