Hoefner Corporation, a manufacturer of Complex Precision Aerospace Machined Parts has immediate opening for the following position:

Purchasing Assistant for small 20-man manufacturing shop
Support the Purchasing Manager in maintaining the responsibilities to assist the day to day tasks for the Purchasing Department.


Job Duties:

• Perform variety of purchasing duties in support of Production and Shop (Aerospace Management System a plus).
• Prepare Purchase Orders and other documents in accordance with customer and/or government requirements.
• Create, use and/or maintain pricing database/filing systems.
• Compare products, deliveries with issued Purchase Orders.
• Contact vendors when there are discrepancies and coordinate with Inspection and Accounts Payable departments
• Verify and/or research information as requested from purchasing manager.
• Schedule local courier for deliveries and pickups.
• Knowledge in reading and understanding blueprints and drawings a plus.
• Understanding of the ERP/MRP (Visual Mfg a plus) System

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in purchasing machine shop (materials per spec., cutting tools, outside processing and assembly items).
• PC skills including MS Office with proficient in Word and Excel.
• Internet and E-Mail
• Excellent organization, communication, negotiation, and followup skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks.

Wages will be based on overall skills.
