Recovery Support Tech
The
Recovery Tech is a key member of the Evolution Recovery Services team in providing support and assistance to individuals dealing with substance abuse issues.
The Recovery Techs works closely with the Registered Peer Recovery Specialists (RPRS) and Program Director to ensure that all clients are receiving the care they need to support their recovery and wellness.
Whether working part-time or full-time, this position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual committed to promoting recovery and well-being.Responsibilities:
- Supportive Assistance: Provide empathetic and nonjudgmental support to individuals navigating mental health challenges, substance abuse, or personal crises.
- Resource Referral: Connect individuals with appropriate resources, including mental health services, substance abuse treatment programs, and community support organizations.
- Collaborative Care: Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for individuals in recovery.
- Advocacy: Advocate for individuals' rights and needs within the healthcare and social service systems. And encourage selfadvocacy in our clients.
- Crisis Prevention: Identify potential crisis situations and implement proactive measures to prevent escalation.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on best practices in recovery support, crisis intervention, and related areas through training and professional development opportunities.
- Field Calls: Answer incoming calls as needed, providing referrals when necessary.
Level 1 Recovery Tech: Limited duties to include shift notes, maintaining order in the residence, reporting rule violations.

Level 2 Recovery Tech: Higher level duties, to include: Passing Medication, Transportation of clients to appointments when necessary, etc.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Drug-Free: Ability to pass a drug test as required by organizational policies and regulations.
- Driver's License.
- Flexibility: Adapt to changing situations and work parttime, fulltime, and/or overnight hours as required.
- Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Team Player: Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply.
Certification Requirements: Valid CPR and First Aid certification required. Additional training may be provided upon employment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to empathize and build rapport with residents.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and manage conflict.
- Knowledge of CPR and First Aid procedures.
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor under pressure.
- Knowledge of privacy laws and ethical guidelines for healthcare providers.
Work Environment:
This role requires working in a men's residential treatment center, which may include working nights, weekends, and holidays. The job involves regular contact with residents who are dealing with various stages of recovery from substance abuse.
Physical Requirements:
This job requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing other physical tasks necessary for the care and transportation ofResidents.
