Overview & Responsibilities:


The Coordinating Producer will work with the VP of Content to create a channel devoted to college football and college basketball.

They are responsible for program development, creative and editorial direction, programming block hours, and working with editorial management for the content vision of 247Sports.

Oversee day-to-day editorial for program hours and coordinate content integration across platforms. Train producers on how to construct rundowns, create intriguing content, and time out live shows. Coach on-air talent, providing feedback on the art of interviewing and how to navigate hosting duties. Schedule assignments and shifts for on-air and production staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for program development, creative and editorial vision of 247Sports
  • Oversee daytoday editorial for program hours and coordinate content integration across platforms
  • Train producers on constructing rundowns, creating content, and timing out shows
  • Coach onair talent
  • Schedule assignments and shifts for onair and production staff
  • Discuss dayof correspondent requests with assignment desk team

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in video production, media arts, communications, broadcasting, sports management, or combination of education/training with relevant experience equivalent
  • 10+ yrs experience at a senior level, including managing others, running control room, stacking a rundown, juggling live breaking news, and strong TV writing skills
  • At least 8 years of Line Producing experience
  • Indepth knowledge of college football and college basketball, including recruiting, transfer portal, and NIL
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news. The schedules will rotate, but must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and overnights
  • Ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice if needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, team environment
  • Exceptional editorial skills
  • Ability to develop story ideas, research, and plan segments
  • Understanding of SEO
