  • POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a dedicated Vaccine Research Biologist to join our team at the National Institutes of Health, specializing in evaluating vaccine efficacy against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB) using a nonhuman primate (NHP) model.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing new assays to assess anti-mycobacterial activity, preparing scientific communications, and mentoring junior researchers.
  • Extensive experience in flow cytometry, Luminex, and ELISA, as well as a solid understanding of T cell immunology related to vaccine efficacy, is essential.
  • Conduct immunological assays (flow cytometry, ELISA, Luminex) on NHP blood and tissue samples.
  • Prepare scientific communications including data abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscripts.
  • Proficiency in evaluating cellular immune responses using flow cytometry, Luminex, and ELISA. Strong understanding of T cell immunology as it relates to vaccine efficacy.
  • Demonstrated expertise in flow cytometry data analysis using FlowJo. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and GraphPad Prism.
