    Job Description

    The Product Manager, Wholesale & Managed Services is a critical component of the Brightspeed Innovation team, leading the development, launch and lifecycle management of portfolio products for Mass Markets, Enterprise and Wholesale customers.

    In this role, you will report directly to the Director, Product Innovation. You will have a proven track record for launching and managing the entire lifecycle of different products in the US market, maintaining a high level of ownership and accountability across the whole product development process (end to end). You will be responsible for defining, developing and executing the vision for each product within the portfolio, as well as enhancing as needed the existing services. You will serve as a subject matter expert in product management practices, like: defining a product roadmap, establishing a product strategy, defining and documenting product requirements, developing product development plans, collaborating in developing business cases and feasibility analyses for new products and features, producing product training materials and leading in-person and pre-recorded training sessions, among others.

    As a Product Manager, Wholesale & Managed Services, you will have the following duties:
    • Interact with business and technical stakeholders to identify needs, opportunities, and gaps; solve problems to ensure a quality, highly efficient outcome
    • Lead the innovation agenda for the product portfolio, actively recommending new products and features. Actively recommend changes to existing products with the objective to continuously improve User Experience and Customer Experience, both for Brightspeed employees and customers
    • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, IT, Marketing, Network, Operations, Finance, Service Delivery, and Service Assurance to ensure proper development and management of services
    • Prepare and understand product requirements for new products and features for Mass Markets, Enterprise and Wholesale market segments
    • Work with IT and other key stakeholders to groom product requirements and turn them into actionable Jira tickets and technical requirements for software developers and network architects
    • For larger projects, collaborate with multiple project managers to maintain and updated project plan and produce project reports for upper management. For smaller projects, act as the project manager for product development activities. For all projects, establish end-to-end product development plans involving all required resources -internal and external- for a successful development, implementation and launch of new products and features.
    • Collaborate in creating business cases for new products and features, driving the funding and approval process for new initiatives
    • Collaborate with vendors and different teams to evaluate, test, qualify and select technological solutions associated to product initiatives
    • Produce competitive analyses for specific products and markets, determining competitive advantages and creating product roadmaps and new initiatives that enhance Brightspeed's competitive edge and contribute to growing the brand's recognition in the markets where Brightspeed's network is deployed
    • Collaborate in developing long term business plans and each year's budget for the product portfolio
    • Participate in meetings with customers, vendors, events and other internal and external activities as required to contribute to promoting the Brightspeed brand and its products and understanding the needs of customers from different segments

    • Client & Partner Relationships - Developing and sustaining relationships based on an understanding of client, partner and stakeholder needs and actions.
    WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
    • Bachelor's Degree required in Engineering, IT, or equivalent work experience.
    • 10+ years of experience in telecommunications products like Metro Ethernet, GPON, Broadband Internet, DIA, SD-WAN, and managed services like Managed WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi, Cybersecurity
    • 5+ years of experience as Product Manager
    • Proven track record launching new products in the US market for Residential, Small and Medium Business, Large Enterprise and/or Wholesale customers.
    • Proven track record in launching Managed Services is a plus.
    • 3+ years of experience in pre-sales, product architecture, sales engineering, business analyst or operations roles
    • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage the success of multiple projects concurrently
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, and work collaboratively with Network, Engineering, Sales, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Legal, IT, Operations, Finance, Service Delivery & Assurance teams to ensure proper development and management of services
    • Must be an enthusiastic self-starter, able to work independently
    • Experience in managing a small team of Product Managers, Product Analysts, Sales Engineers and/or Business Analysts is a plus
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Jira and Confluence is required
