- Supervise a staff of 4 employees; assign and review work assignments and plan work schedules, approve or disapprove leave, determine performance objectives, and rate performance.
- Plan, develop, organize, and manages diverse and comprehensive wellness, physical fitness and sport programs which Include group exercise classes, self-directed fitness and sports programs, incentive programs, special events, intramural, extramural, varsity sports, and instructional programs.
- Determine adequacy of facilities and equipment, identify additional needs and recommend facility construction, alterations, and renovation projects. Monitor operation, repair, and maintenance of existing facilities, contractors, and equipment. Ensure regular inspections are conducted on fitness and sports equipment, fields, and facilities. Documents discrepancies and alert the appropriate office with concerns.
- Develop and implement programs to accommodate the wide range of interests for both fitness and sports activities.
- Develop, implement, monitor and document a comprehensive training program to ensure all customers possess the necessary skills and knowledge for their activities.
- Implement higher headquarters wellness program objectives and goals at the installation level.

- Serving in a leadership role in the programs and activities of local, regional, and/or national recreational organizations.
