The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Busser who is highly organized to work with our Pierrot Gourmet restaurant and create a memorable guest experience.

Key accountabilities

  • Responsible for activities related to service of the restaurant, which includes preparation tasks, training and performing service as per standards set by the hotel.
  • Perform friendly, yet discreet and unobtrusive service in: Greeting, seating and waiting on all guests.
  • Perform preservice and afterservice procedures as per standards.
  • Ensure a consistency of the correct service techniques for all meal periods.
  • Have complete knowledge of all food and beverage items on the menu, including ingredients, methods of preparation.
  • Support servers during service when required by server or management, for instance pouring water, juice, coffee, clearing, etc.
  • This description is not inclusive of all job tasks but a guide, and may be added or removed by management according to changes that may occur in the working environment.

General requirements

  • Basic restaurant operation knowledge
  • Minimum of 1year experience in a hospitality service field
  • Musthave excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
