Description

You enjoy working with children and adolescents, and want to provide them with guidance and support in finding their own identity? You also have a friendly and social personality, are empathetic and responsible, but can also assert yourself? Are you ready to face new challenges in working with behaviorally unique young people?

Become a Youth and Residential Care Worker

As a social institution for child and youth welfare, we offer a three-year vocational training program for Youth and Residential Care Workers, alternating between theory and practice. Our partner institutes for the academic part are the Institute for Social Professions in Ravensburg and the Seminar at Michaelshof in Kirchheim. The practical training takes place in our family-like or regular residential groups. The start of the training is always September 1st of each year.

What else you need to know:

  • You have a secondary school leaving certificate, a technical college entrance qualification, a high school diploma, or another vocational qualification
  • You have completed a pre-internship in the social field, a voluntary social year (FSJ), or the Federal Voluntary Service (BFD)
  • You are very creative and enjoy independently shaping the daily lives of those in your care
  • You have good empathy, enjoy taking on responsibility, and find joy in creating human connections and building relationships.
