BASIC FUNCTION:
The Bartender will serve and make drinks at the bar for the guests


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Compose and be knowledgeable of standard drinks and liquors or wines specific to restaurant bar.
• Plan and maintain par levels for bar inventory.
• Prepare daily orders for bar items to maintain pars.
• Responsible for cash handling and bank procedures as outlined by the Accounting Department.
• Greet guests as they enter the outlet.
• Perform accurate bar inventory each month or as deemed necessary by the F&B Managers, Restaurant Manager.
• Maintain perfectly crisp uniform, follow grooming and appearance standards.
• Perform accurate bar inventory as deemed necessary.
• Responsible for learning suggestive selling techniques and using them during services.
• Assist with other Food and Beverage departments / outlets, as needed.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain open communication with management and other employees.
• Be well organized and efficient.
• Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager
• Deliver cocktails to tables as needed.
• Assist in other Food and Beverage departments as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Training and Work Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years bartending experience.
• One year fine dining or highend resort experience.
• Extensive liquor, beer, wine and mixology knowledge.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Pleasant and helpful personality.
• Certifications preferred: SafeServ, TIPS, etc.

ENVIRONMENT:

Indoors, dimly lit, carpeted, climate controlled environment. Hard kitchen floors with occasional slippery or greasy areas. Loud noise level.


Pay:
$6.5 / hour hour plus tips
