    Overview:
    The Front Office Agent plays a crucial role in delivering attentive, friendly, and efficient service to guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout. The primary goal is to maximize room revenue and occupancy levels. Highgate offers competitive benefits, including medical coverage, dental, vision, and supplemental benefits, along with a 401k retirement program for eligible full-time and part-time staff.

    Hourly Rate:
    $20.29 per hour

    Responsibilities:
    • Respond to guest inquiries about restaurants, transportation, and entertainment.
    • Adhere to cash handling and credit policies.
    • Stay informed about rates, packages, and promotions.
    • Assist with room reservations and maintain knowledge of in-house groups.
    • Understand emergency procedures and provide assistance when needed.
    • Conduct check-ins and checkouts courteously and efficiently.
    • Operate the Front Desk computer system proficiently.
    • Complete tasks on the shift checklist promptly and accurately.
    • Prepare necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
    • Promote guest programs and maintain a clean work area.
    • Support guests with safe deposit boxes.

    Qualifications:
    • Some college coursework in a related field is beneficial.
    • Prior experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
    • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Proficiency in computer use.
    • Prior customer service experience is a plus.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Desire to anticipate and address guest and operational needs.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and show initiative.
    • Willingness to cross-train in different hotel roles.
    • Adherence to Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations.
    • Capacity to understand and apply complex information from various sources.
    • Ability to handle challenges and implement solutions efficiently.
    • Consistent attendance according to hotel scheduling.
    • High standards of personal appearance and grooming.

    Perform other duties as assigned by management.
