Description
This position is located in the DC Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection (DLCP), Procurement Division.

The DLCP protects the economic interest of residents, businesses, and visitors in the District of Columbia by licensing and regulating businesses and investigating and enforcing the Consumer Protection Procedures Act.

This position has primary responsibility for providing leadership and managerial support to the Supervisory Contract Liaison and the Budget and Procurement Division.


Duties and Responsibilities


Incumbent is responsible for the review and evaluation of all documents for the supervisor's, requiring appropriate action, to determine that the documents are accurate and suitable in substance.

Coordinates the agency's unit workflow and special projects and ensures the
timeliness and quality of all work produced by the agency unit.

Performs a full range of technical and administrative functions and may provide guidance, direction, and work review to lower level administrative support staff within the agency unit.


Recommends the establishment of new and/or revised policies, procedures, and other documentation, as the need arises, to meet the goals and objectives more effectively.

Makes recommendations to get the program and operation in compliance. Reviews legislation and ensure that program(s) are in compliance with the federal regulations.


Qualifications and Education


Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skill and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

To be creditable, one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.

None.


Working Conditions/Environment
The work is primarily sedentary. The work is primarily performed in the normal office setting. May be required to occasionally represent DLCP at community meetings and/or conferences.

Monday - Friday
8:15AM- 4:45PM
