Newest Plywood Mill built in NA in more than 20 years with state-of-the-art equipment.
As a Multicraft A, the employee is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
Additionally, the position will require installation, dismantling, and/or moving machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings.
A Multicraft A must be highly qualified in both areas, electrical and mechanical, and must be competent in both.A Multicraft A must be able to work in the gap with other maintenance team members and possess extensive knowledge of machinery and equipment specific to Winston Plywood & Veneer.
Essential Functions- Understand all company procedures, policies, and practices that is relevant to job position
- Must be able to follow all safe work practices required within the department.
These include but are not limited to:
OSHA lock-out tag-out procedures, NFPA 70E electrical safety and arc flash hazard prevention guidelines
- Capable of managing various types of electrical and/or mechanical projects within the mill by working with all departments to complete
- Provides advanced technical troubleshooting skills during equipment breakdowns and supports all other areas of maintenance
- Capable of troubleshooting advanced electrical servo controls or advanced hydraulic servo systems
- Assists with training other maintenance employees in specialized systems and advanced maintenance
- Experience using a multimeter, various basic hand tools, hydraulic and pneumatic systems testing, metal cutting, typical welding equipment, basic machining tools, and other types of electrical/electronic testing equipment
- Able to perform maintenance tasks as described in WPV's Millwright and Electrician job descriptions
- Temporarily covers for Maintenance Supervisors, as needed, and assumes other maintenance advanced leadership roles, as assigned
- Follow National Electric Code, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety regulations
Follow planned predictive and preventative schedules: - Willing to continually learn new technology within the wood product industry
- Demonstrate ability to work as a team, communicate well with others
- Read and document daily maintenance reports
- Ability to respond quickly to all upset conditions within the department
- Communicate all safety, quality, and processing issues with Supervisor
- Employee must also perform any duty deemed necessary by management
Required:
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Basic Math and English skills
- Mechanical skills to use variety of tools, both manual and power
- Minimum 5 years related industrial electrical maintenance experience or minimum 3 years related field of work experience with AA or BS degree in Electrical Maintenance, Engineering, or related technical field of study
Pay:
Up to $35.00 per hour
