Assistant Director, International Admissions


Job Description:


Assumes responsibility for assisting with the recruitment and admission of international students, travelling to promote and positively position the University of Hartford to international student populations.

Assumes responsibility for adherence to rules and regulations governing federal, state, University, all applicable athletic conferences and NCAA, including assisting in the education process extended to alumni and the community.

Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.

Description of Key Responsibility:

Working closely with the Office of Marketing and Communication and Director, leads the development of web-based communications, promotional materials and other marketing tools including electronic recruitment, digital marketing and social media efforts for international undergraduate admission.

Provides accurate enrollment reporting and analysis on a monthly basis to the administration and other University stakeholders. Maintains international data consistent with established data integrity standards. Researches, assesses, recommends and implements technology trends and integration of new resources when necessary and/or appropriate.


Description of Key Responsibility:
Oversees graduate assistants, student workers, interns, and other part-time International Admissions assistants, as needed.


Description of Key Responsibility:
Establishes, cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with international partners, continuously striving to expand the network of contacts. Partners with other campus constituencies who assist current international students.

Staying current with changes to systems of education around the world and providing updates to other teams that intersect with International students.

Performs other related duties as assigned.


Formal Education:

Bachelors Degree required.


Work Experience:

Normal office situation. Requires travel, including overnight stays up to 6 to 12 weeks per year.
