This Jobot Consulting Job is hosted by: Salary: $48 - $53 per hour

Through a patented engineering design, strong financial relationships and partnership in over 21 countries, we are embarking on a 23M dollar expansion facility designed to convert pure California milk into nutritional dairy ingredients.

Day shift - Monday thru Friday
Hourly, so there will be opportunity for overtime
Project will provide high level exposure to learn Sage
Flexibility to interview while on the project
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Cost Accountant to join our team.

This position will play a key role in our finance department, with responsibilities including cost accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment, as well as experience with Sage software.

This is a contract position with the potential for permanent placement. This role is critical in providing accurate and timely financial information to the management team to make informed decisions.
Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, and records.
Prepare and analyze cost reports and costing audits.
Review and audit manufacturing costs and variances, and the raw material inventory and finished goods annually.
Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.
Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis.
Assist in Month end close of the General Ledger.
Conduct research and perform analytical studies in regard to cost analyses and profitability.
Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others.
Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management.
Work in special projects as required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Minimum of 3+ years of Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the dairy or CPG industry.
Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.
Proficient in Sage software.
Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word.

Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
