- Identifies and fixes maintenance issues such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical problems.
- Cleans air conditioners' filters and condensers monthly.
- Regularly checks smoke detectors, emergency lights, and fire exit locks for safety.
- Performs tasks like changing light bulbs, fuses, and ceiling tiles when needed.
- Handles unclogging drains, toilets, and sinks.
- Monitors oil and boiler temperature levels.
- Assists in fire drill exercises.
- Sets up equipment like chairs, podiums, TV/VCR, microphones, and projectors as requested.
- Tags fixed assets for inventory control.
- Provides 24-hour on-call coverage.
- Cleans and sanitizes common areas daily, including dining areas, bathrooms, elevators, lobbies, and hallways.
- Disposes of trash on designated days and clears snow during winter for safety.
- Replenishes toiletry supplies and maintains cleanliness of walls and windows.
- Assists with tenant moves and transportation of supplies.
- Ensures safety during cleaning by putting up appropriate signs.
- Steps in for other Facility Mechanics or Porters when needed.
- Expected to be on-site during emergencies.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Monday-Friday; Mon/Wed/Fri 12PM-8PM, Tues/Thurs 8AM-4PM
- Tuesday-Saturday; Tues/Thurs/Sat 8AM-4PM, Wed/Fri 12PM-8PM
