    The Role

    As a Network Technician at Lumen, specializing in installation and maintenance, you will oversee all aspects of cable repair and maintenance, including copper and fiber splicing. Your responsibilities will also involve carrier systems repair, installation, and repairs on various services like POTS and DSL, as well as rehab and corrective actions on irregular plant conditions in aerial, buried, and underground setups. You will handle installations of GPON, DSL, bonded DSL, and POTS services among other tasks.

    This position follows a schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

    This opportunity is open to individuals starting out in their careers, and we are looking for candidates with some basic installation experience.

    Location

    For consideration, applicants must reside within a commutable distance to Durango CO.

    The Main Responsibilities

    • Install, maintain, and test residential/small business telecommunication services and broadband products such as POTS, HSI, Networking, VDSL, and Fiber to the Home.
    • Configure wireless/wired networks on approved company modems/routers, connecting wires and cables to terminals, and attaching/detaching various hardware to wires, buildings, poles, and facilities. This includes cabling electronic components like routers and computers.
    • Troubleshoot basic technical problems, perform continuity and/or conformance testing using test equipment, and interpret various technical documents to carry out specified work.
    • Interact professionally with customers, review service orders, repair tickets, and billing information, while identifying opportunities for additional revenue.

    What We Look For in a Candidate

    • Willingness to work varied shifts, hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
    • May be required to work out of town for extended periods and drive company vehicles.
    • Must possess a valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and comply with State and Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
    • Ability to work at elevations exceeding 18 feet and in confined spaces, performing physical activities like lifting objects weighing over 75 pounds.
    • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

    Compensation

    Hourly Wage: $39.83

    Background Screening

    If you are selected, a background screening will be conducted, including checks for criminal records, motor vehicle reports, and drug screening as per the position requirements.
