Description

CAMS Renewable Services LLC is hiring a BESS Technician with knowledge in electrical systems and grid scale battery energy storage system (BESS) space.

Our BESS Service Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting BESS site systems, and performing electrical repairs in the greater Houston area.

Must have an excellent work ethic, good communication and documenting skills.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all work in a safe manner in compliance with company safety policy.
  • Responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of BESS systems and components.
  • Able to replace/install hardware, inverters, monitoring equipment and any other component within the BESS site.
  • Perform commissioning of equipment depending on degree on maintenance needed.
  • Perform electrical testing using appropriate PPE and procedures.
  • Prepare reports, if needed to comply with deliverables in O&M contracts
  • Help in all areas of preventative and corrective maintenance as directed by supervisor with mínimal supervision.
  • Attend training sessions on equipment as provided by the manufacturer and approved by manager.
  • In the performance of duties, use equipment and resources in accordance with instructions provided by the company.
  • Maintains adherence to Company policies, quality, environmental health and safety policies and good housekeeping practices.
  • Carry out any other tasks delegated by the company.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive in inclement weather.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
  • Experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting BESS systems preferred but related applicable experience is acceptable.
  • Electrical knowledge/training experience of at least three years
  • Must have good organization, communication, analytical, planning, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Must be flexible, be able to adapt to new situations, practice selfdiscipline, and have high integrity.
  • Must have flexibility to work during weekends and be always available on call.
