Job Summary

We are looking for a Nurse Educator/RN (NICU) who will work closely to identify educational needs/opportunities within the department.

This individual will possess a strong knowledge base in teaching and learning theories; curriculum design; methods for validation of learning and innovative options.

Collaboration between clinical department leaders and education department, the Nurse Educator uses innovative technologies and strategies to strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving abilities of the learner.

Creates an environment that promotes professional practice. The Educator coordinates, facilitates and provides a comprehensive orientation program for all new members of nursing services. Plans and/or conducts in services and mandatory education programs for hospital clinical staff as required by regulatory agencies. Promotes a culture that supports life-long learning and professional development for clinical staff.

Role Details - Will work 16hrs as an Educator and 24hrs as RN (NICU) including every 3rd weekend and holiday
