Principal / Expert Engineer - EV Charging Power Electronics

We are seeking a skilled EV/Power Electronics Engineer to join a leading global technology and electronics manufacturer at their facility in Nuremberg, Germany.

In this role, you will collaborate with a team of engineers dedicated to research and development of cutting-edge products in the field of Electronic Vehicle Charging / Power Electronics.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of technology roadmap for next-generation EV chargers
  • Stay informed on the latest trends in EV charger technology
  • Lead and execute research and development of innovative EV charger solutions
  • Design, verify, and validate converter concepts in the R&D laboratories
  • Collaborate with external R&D institutes and universities to develop novel converter and control algorithms for power electronic applications
  • Generate new ideas and protect them through IPR filings

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in power electronics, electronic engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in power converter research and development in the EV charging industry
  • Expertise in power electronic converter topologies, modulation, control, and algorithm development, preferably in EV charging or similar applications
