We are hiring a Fabrication Assistant based in Anaheim.

The Fabrication Assistant; you will play a vital role in supporting the fabrication team by assisting in various tasks related to the production of materials or products.

You will work with skilled fabricators and technicians to ensure efficiency in operating machinery and other processes while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Contributing to this role helps in maintaining a smooth workflow, quality standards, and safety within the fabrication and production area.

Role/Responsibilities:_

  • Assembly Preparation and

Materials Handling:
_

  • Review assembly instructions, drawing specifications, and parts lists to comprehensively understand the work requirements.
  • Gather all necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials required for the assigned job.
  • Thoroughly inspect the quality of parts and verify that the correct items are selected for the assembly process.
  • Precision Fabrication Tasks:_
  • Perform a range of fabrication tasks, including sawing logs to precise specifications and cutting extrusions to specified dimensions.
  • Skillfully operate machinery to drill curved or irregular designs, trim edges, and remove defects from extrusions.
  • Utilize clamps to securely position workpieces on tables, ensuring accurate cuts and hole sizes.

Quality Control:

  • Examine connections to guarantee correct fit and securely fasten parts and subassemblies together.
  • Validate measurements by accurately measuring completed components and crossreferencing them with the sales order.
  • Skillfully troubleshoot assembly issues by adjusting dimensions to meet specifications; escalate complex problems to the supervisor and request additional resources if needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Safety:_
  • Ensure machinery remains operational by conducting preventative maintenance tasks according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions and coordinate repairs when necessary to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by diligently following established procedures, rules, and regulations.
This includes regular trash removal and the upkeep of restrooms and break rooms.

  • Resource Conservation and Documentation:_
  • Utilize equipment and supplies judiciously to minimize waste while achieving optimal job results.
  • Document actions and contribute to accurate recordkeeping by completing production and quality forms.

Work Environment:_

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. In this role you are exposed to the warehouse and production area.

  • Ascending or descending stairs or ramps.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrist, hands, and or fingers.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving around to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 25 pounds in all directions.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.

Required Education and Experience:_

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent job experience.


Pay:
$16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
