Position Summary
The Project Accountant for Heritage Links is responsible for the set-up, monitoring and reporting on project financials for the golf course construction division.
Responsibilities:
- Gather all relevant documents and set up new projects in the company's ERP system.
- Set up phase codes budgets based on predetermined estimates and schedule of values.
- Initiate monthly reviews with project management to analyze project performance.
- Prepare accurate and timely AIA construction billings in accordance with contract guidelines.
- Gather necessary support to timely and accurately issue contract change orders.
- Partner with VP of Finance at monthend to determine project profitability and revenue recognition.
- Secure subcontractor lien waivers to accompany customer billings.
- Participate in project related meetings as necessary.
- Drive collection efforts and respond to customer billings inquiries.
- Close projects once fully billed and completed.
- Prepare project financial reports and other reports as required by management.
- Gather necessary support to timely and accurately issue contract change orders.
- Partner with VP of Finance on other accounting tasks/assignments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Intermediate Excel knowledge (pivot tables, vlookups, report building).
- 35 years of project accounting experience using a largescale ERP system (preferably Vista/Trimble).
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Clear understanding of AIA construction billings.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer most of the day.
