At our Affalterbach location, we are currently seeking an experienced Calculation Engineer (m/f/d) in overall vehicle development.


What you will contribute:

  • Development, design, and optimization of vehicle components and overall vehicles
  • Calculation of metal and composite components using analytical and numerical methods
  • Technical consulting for structural component design
  • Creation of FEM calculation models
  • Conducting static, dynamic, and thermal calculations
  • Conducting crash simulations of individual components and overall vehicle models
  • Analysis of numerical calculation results and derivation of innovative solutions
  • Creation of calculation reports

What you bring:

  • Successfully completed studies in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or vehicle technology
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanics and strength of materials
  • Several years of experience in applying linear and nonlinear finite element methods (FEM)
  • Proficient use of CAE tools such as Hyperworks, Permas, Optistruct, and Radioss preferred
  • Knowledge of legal requirements for vehicle crash and occupant safety
  • Excellent German and English language skills
