Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in pre-construction safety preparations such as creating site-specific safety plans, prequalifying subcontractors, attending coordination meetings, and setting up the site.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for a multi-craft/subcontractor work site.
  • Conduct safety meetings and attend staff meetings as required.
  • Advise and implement safety policies, procedures, reports, workplace rules, and requirements for the company.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, local, and site-specific safety regulations and communicate safety expectations to the owner/contractor.
  • Perform and document jobsite audits/observations to identify and correct safety gaps, hazards, and risks, and make recommendations for safety improvements.
  • Verify the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and environmental/engineering controls on the job site.
