Triad is an Aerospace Parts Manufacturer of detailed prismatic shaped parts with complex geometry and intricate detail (i.e., housings
- hog-outs, castings, and forgings). Parts with these configurations are well suited for our 4 and 5 axis machining centers. Included within Triad's state-of-the-art facility is our CNC Turning Department; WEDM (5 axis machines with auto-thread, essential for 24/7 capability); Abrasive Water Jet; and an extensive Toolroom which supports our advanced fixture and tooling requirements. Coordinate Measurement Machines, with travels up to 48"x100"x 40", are equipped with fully programmable heads and auto-tip changing capability, which support our machining capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical inspections on machined parts and assemblies using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure that parts and assemblies are manufactured to the required quality standards
- Use CMM machines and other measuring devices to perform detailed inspections on complex parts. Knowledge of PCDIMS/Modus is a plus.
- Record inspection results and generate reports as required
- Work with the engineering and production teams to ensure that parts and assemblies are manufactured according to specifications
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure that all qualityrelated issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner
- Train and mentor junior inspectors as required
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with relevant technical training or certification. Bachelor degree in related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanical inspector in an Aerospace/Defense parts manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection principles, methodologies, and equipment
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and AS9100 quality standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Pay:
$ $37.00 per hour
