Duties:


  • Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist concerned with directing, developing, and performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
  • Responsible for cradle to grave intensive logistics management to support complex, major weapon systems from concept through field deployment.
  • Performs the full range of planning, liaison, contract monitoring, equipment and organizational interface, control of other government elements supporting the effort and logistics phases of field exercises and tests.
  • Support the management and interface with logistics element managers, contract support services, training facilities, Integrated Logistics Support Management organizations and other service users at contractor and government activities.
  • Coordinates with representatives concerning precedent setting, controversial, sensitive and/or complex issues and their impact on military requirements, various and different functions, Congressional concerns, and private sector organizations.

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Foundational in the Acquisition Career Field Life Cycle Logistics within 36 months of entrance on duty.
  • Business travel required up to 25% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • LOG 465 Executive Product Support Manager's Course is required or the incumbent must meet the training standard within 24 months of appointment.

Specialized Experience:One year of specialized experience is defined as: 1) Responsible for implementing regulatory guidance to provide product support for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and/or Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems; 2) Coordinate with other Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) teams to plan and execute materiel fielding and property transfers adhering to audit readiness processes; 3) Plan, budget, coordinate and execute new equipment training to the gaining command; and 4) Ensure Training Support Packages (TSP) are developed on time and in accordance with regulations to meet new equipment training timelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02)/GS-1
