    Description
    Lead Supplier Quality Engineer
    Minimum 3 years of Supplier Quality Engineering Experience


    Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to fill an opening with a Tier 1 Automotive Company located in Metro Detroit, MI.

    Must have experience in Supplier Quality and statistical analysis.
    Requirements of the Lead Supplier Quality Engineer
    Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management or related field required
    5-8 years of experience required
    IATF 16949 experience required and ISO 9001:2015 experience preferred.
    Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with all levels across the organization and with customers.

    Strong analytical background with demonstrated ability to analyze, explain, and draw logical conclusions from complex operational, financial, regulatory and/or business data.

    Responsibilities of the Lead Supplier Quality Engineer
    Lead the APQP Development process for specific programs assigned
    Delivery of initial PFMEA, Process Control Plan, Error Proofing Matrix and in process test requirements to the Manufacturing plant
    Establish SPC criteria for production
    Develop safe launch instructions for assigned programs in conjunction with the manufacturing facility
    Act as quality lead for customer program reviews throughout the development process
    Develops and implements programs to assess and improve the quality of products, components, materials and/or operations.
    Performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products.

    Conducts quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.

    Performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates.
