- The Service Desk Officer holds a crucial role in providing Tier 1 support for a Government Solutions customer in Northern Virginia.
- Responsibilities include monitoring Network and Server Infrastructure, troubleshooting LAN & WAN data telecommunications equipment, and serving as a liaison between end users and senior technical staff.
- Routine tasks involve processing customer work orders and ensuring smooth operation of mission-oriented IT infrastructure.
- Work schedule may require flexibility with on-site coverage for 5-day x 12 hours/day operations.
- Experience: Education requirements vary with experience level.
- Skills required include excellent verbal and written communication, general IT knowledge, teamwork, and 8570 compliance.
- Technical Requirements: Working knowledge of Linux, Active Directory, network infrastructure, and Office 365.
- Certification: Mandatory 8570 Compliance (IAT Level II) with preferred security certifications.
- Clearance: TS/SCI clearance required, CI Poly sponsorship available.
- Experience with WAN/LAN Networking, MS Windows/Linux/Solaris Administration, LAN Cabling, SolarWinds/IT Management systems.
- Desired Experience includes: DoD or Intelligence Community service, managing applications on Linux servers, and working with cross-domain solutions.
