Computer Support Technician
Basic Function
- Assist Computer Support Manager in maintaining computer infrastructure at multiple agency locations within Los Angeles County.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems at computer workstations and server.
- Assist in assuring system security and levels of access.
- Provide software / computer use training as needed.
- Report system problems to the Computer Support Manager or to their designee.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned by Computer Support Manager.
Skills and Knowledge
- Must have excellent computer literacy skills.
- Must have technical knowledge (hardware, routers, switching, VOIP, etc.).
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Must be well organized and create accurate documentation.
- Must be fluent in VMware.
- Must be fluent in MS Operating Systems (beginning with Windows 10).
- Must be fluent in MS Office (beginning with 2019).
- Must be fluent in basic network topology.
- Must be familiar with enterprise printing schema / network scanning.
- Must be fluent with MS Active Directory / Permissions.
- Must have basic skills regarding firewall implementation and maintenance.
Education / Training
- Must have High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Must have a minimum of four years of experience as a Computer Support Technician, in a business environment.
Position Reports To
- Computer Support Manager
Pay:
$ $29.00 per hour
