Your role

ValleyStar is growing its Digital team and is looking for a Card Specialist to support the implementation and maintenance of ValleyStar's credit, debit, ATM and gift card programs.

In this role you provide member support for issues related to credit, debit, ATM and gift cards.

Your day

  • Update accounts with new member information in all systems exclusive to each card type.
  • Order PIN and new/replacement cards and handle lost/stolen cards and blocked accounts.
  • Monitor supply of all cards.
  • Perform daily review of essential reports and review issues included in exception reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Process adjustments, mismatches and exceptions.
  • Handle mail returns including but not limited to plastic mailers, notification letters.
  • Review VISA, CUNA, Star, FISERV, and other alerts and process alerts.
  • Temporarily increase transaction limit on debit, credit and ATM cards in accordance with procedure.
  • Process card disputes, frauds, and charge
- backs. Ensure that these items are properly resolved within the appropriate legal timeframe. See that all necessary bond claims and charge-offs are completed on a timely basis.

  • Maintain complete and accurate records and files for audit purposes.

We need

  • 2 years of experience working with debit/credit card programs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • When needed, available to work Saturday hours
