- Part-Time Shift
- Evening Shift Details: 2 12 Hour Shifts, 1 8 Hour Shift
- Accurately completes respiratory assessments and provides prescribed therapies in a timely manner, specific to age groups and specialty areas.
- Evaluates and documents the results of respiratory therapy actions accurately, tailored to age-specific needs.
- Sets up, monitors, and maintains mechanical ventilation accurately based on specialty areas and in a timely fashion.
- Communicates with physicians and nursing staff on patient progress and suggests therapy modality changes per department guidelines.
- Proficiently obtains and analyzes blood gas specimens and performs skin testing accurately.
- Maintains equipment and documentation in all respiratory care areas as per department guidelines.
- Monitors staffing, work, and equipment room areas regularly.
- Provides precise patient and family education promptly and specific to age groups and specialty areas.
- Performs other assigned duties as required.
- Associate's Degree required.
- Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist mandatory.
- National Board of Respiratory Therapy certification essential.
- Current Massachusetts State License mandatory.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS) and NRP certification required.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS) and neonatal resuscitation (NRP) certification needed.
- One year of experience is preferred.
- Experience with Meditech and Microsoft Office is preferred.
