About the Position

The Early Childhood Program Manager is responsible for implementing and managing the program's high-quality early education component.

This position oversees educational staff, ensures assessments and curriculum meet children's developmental needs, and ensures education services align with division goals to improve the school readiness of enrolled children and build supportive relationships with families.

Job Contributions- Ensure classroom teaching staff across 83 classrooms in Maricopa County provide responsive care, effective teaching, and an organized learning environment that promotes healthy development and children's skill growth aligned with the

Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework:
Ages Birth to Five, including for children with disabilities- Leads daily planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of early education services and systems that meet local, state, and federal mandates/regulations related to child development and education services- Manages to provide high-quality early education and child developmental services, including for children with disabilities, that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth for later school success- Manages the implementation of curricula based on valid research and standardized training procedure materials aligned to state and federal standards to ensure fidelity- Ensures child-level assessment data is entered and utilized to direct continuous improvement related to curriculum choice and implementation, teaching practices, professional development, program design, and other program decisions Follows the program's process for using data to identify program strengths and needs and continually evaluate compliance with regulations and progress towards achieving benchmarks- Develops, implements, and monitors programmatic personnel policies and procedures that ensure all children's health, safety, and educational well-being- Provide management and direction to the Program Assurance Supervisors, which will be shared with all classroom instructional staff

Working Conditions- Background investigation and fingerprint identification performed upon hire to secure the Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card- Must be able to obtain a valid AZ Driver's license upon hire- Work is routinely performed in an office environment, which may require long sitting, reading, and typing periods- Requires travel to program sites throughout Maricopa CountySelection ProcedureMust pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive
