Main Duties & Responsibilities

JobSummary:
Supportsplanning and designing of manufacturing processes within the industrial plant.

Increasesday-to-day production and process efficiency by analyzing the shop layout,capability of equipment, tooling/fixturing, process flow, and assembly methods- resulting in increased quality, increased productivity, and reduced productcost.

Determinesand documents processes, equipment, and fixturing needed to achieve productionreadiness (NPI) and sustain manufacturing operations in accordance with allspecifications and engineering requirements.

Completesday-to-day tasks including small projects as assigned - a degree of creativityand analytical problem-solving is required.
Keepsdetailed records in an organized fashion and practices good organizationalskills to support the job function.
Abilityto clearly write and edit technical documentation, assembly instructions, andprocess documents.
Hasgeneral knowledge of commonly used (industry) concepts, practices, andprocedures within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
Obtainson-the-job experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings anddrawing requirements.
Possessesbeginning to working-knowledge of the subject matter for duct manufacturing.
Workseffectively in both individual and team environments to discover and implementsolutions in a fast-paced environment.
Conformsto company safety policies and procedures.
Completesother duties as assigned.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

1+year experience with interrogating 3D models using Solidworks or other 3D CADsoftware.
1+year experience using Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MSPowerPoint).

PreferredQualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experiencewith sheetmetal processes (e.g., forming, cutting, drilling, riveting,assembly).
Experiencewith fusion welding (GTAW / TIG) process.
Experiencewith resistance welding (Spot or Seam) processes.
Experiencewith fluorescent penetrant and/or radiographic (x-ray) processes.
Experiencewith inspection or measurement processes.
Experiencewith Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Material Requirements Planning (MRP)software systems - RSA uses Epicor.

Experiencewith programming (Excel VBA, SQL) and/or Excel Pivot Tables to compile andconstruct data to support Continuous Improvement and CAPEX projects.

MinimumEducation & Experience:

Anengineering degree (BS or MS) in manufacturing, aerospace, mechanical orindustrial engineering, or a degree (AS, BS or MS) in engineering or a physicalscience plus a minimum of 4 years of aerospace manufacturing experience.

0-2years of direct manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace ductmanufacturing.

Certifications:
Mustbe able to obtain an internal RSA Manufacturing Engineering (ME) stamp within(12) months.
Mustbe able to successfully complete the RSA internal Weld Inspector Specialisttraining course within (12) months.

EssentialPhysical / Mental Abilities Required:
Employeeis regularly required to sit for long periods of time, occasionally required towalk, climb
stairs,stoop, use hands to finger (keyboard), stand for extended periods of time on ashop floor,
talkand hear. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Thepay scale for this position ranges from $66,560 to $95,000 annually.
