Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:
Senior Manufacturing Engineer will use their expertise on a variety of complex manufacturing issues toincrease capabilities to produce products. Design improves and installs integrated systems in theintroduction of new products to the manufacturing and supply chain environment. Directly impacts allaspects of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and innovation, as well as the sustaining and growth efforts ofoperations.
Job Core Responsibilities Provides objective, functional, and financial engineering guidance on capital expenditures to divisionmanagement and follows up on the implementation process Coordinates all phases of cost reduction; forecasts labor and equipment requirements to ensureadequate equipment, machine capacity, and labor Collaborate with stakeholders, including production, engineering, and maintenance teams, to understandneeds and specifications for automation projects Troubleshoot and debug automation systems to ensure proper functionality and performance Provides knowledge and expertise, acting as a professional resource for colleagues Reduce costs and improve manufacturing profits, using significant expertise on complex issues, bestpractices, industry trends, and professional knowledge Automation and Control Systems:
Evaluate, select, and integrate robotic systems, control systems, andother automation technologies to automate manufacturing processesParker Meggitt PLC Programming and HMI Development: Develop and program PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)systems to control and monitor manufacturing processes Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.
May need to work nights and weekends,variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary Integrate automation systems with existing manufacturing infrastructure, such as ERP (EnterpriseResource Planning) or MES (Manufacturing Execution System) systems Develop and execute test plans, perform system integration tests, and validate automation solutionsagainst defined specifications Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for operators andmaintenance personnel on the proper use, operation, and maintenance of automation systems Create and maintain documentation, including user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), TotalPreventative Maintenance (TPM s), and troubleshooting guides for automation systems Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures to mitigate risks associated withautomated systems Design and create human-machine interfaces (HMIs) for operators to interact with and monitorautomated systems Ensure seamless integration between PLCs, HMIs, and other automation componentsQualifications andEducation Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required
Years Experience:
min 5 years of experience in automation technologies, including robotics, softwareprogramming, tooling, and test equipment designSkills: Demonstrated expertise with complex manufacturing engineering solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues Proficient with applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement Ability to improve products or services by applying professional and business knowledge Strong knowledge of automation technologies, including robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA (SupervisoryControl and Data Acquisition) systems.
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills todrive tasks to completion Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management tools Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and coordination of automationprojects Strong knowledge of automation technologies, including robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA (SupervisoryControl and Data Acquisition) systems Proficiency in Visual Basic 6.
